Letter From Leadership: Jay Kasper
From the Desk of the Executive Director
July 2022 ADAA Update
By John E. Kasper, Jr. MBA
I hope that everyone had a happy 4th of July!
ADAA is now accepting nominations for officer and director positions. This year the following positions will be elected:

In August, PDAEF will begin soliciting items for the Fall Mystery Auction. All members of the dental community are encouraged to donate items with a retail value of $25 or more for the auction to take place in October. Items should be wrapped or in a bag and all submissions should include a hint, riddle, or clue about the item.
Remember, as we start to move through 2022 that membership is JOB ONE for the association. The Board of Directors have initiated a call campaign to reach out to former members to extend an invitation back to their professional family. ADAA has also increased communications to past members and current members to help provide information about current programs. By working together, we can remind dental assistants that much more can be accomplished together than separately.
We need the involvement of our state and local organizations as well as our individual members to talk to our colleagues who have not renewed as well as individuals who have not previously been ADAA members. That personal touch has always been effective for associations. That peer-to-peer contact builds the relationship far better than sending an e-mail.
Board of Directors meetings minutes (notes taken of discussions and decisions made during meetings) can be found on the ADAA website after logging in with the user name and password connected to your membership account.
