Announcing the 2024 ADAA/DANB Scholarship Recipients
The American Dental Assistants Association (ADAA) and the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) are proud to announce the recipients of the 2024 ADAA/DANB Scholarship. This year, five outstanding individuals have been selected for their dedication to career growth and lifelong learning in the dental assisting profession. ADAA and DANB have partnered on this scholarship for over a decade to support ADAA members in advancing their careers.
The 2024 scholarship recipients have demonstrated a strong commitment to their professional development, with plans to pursue DANB certification. The scholarship awards, ranging from $250 to $1,000, will aid in their continued growth and success.
Congratulations to the 2024 ADAA/DANB Scholarship Recipients:
- Autumn Brooks, CDA, of Mountain Home, Idaho, has over five years of experience in dental assisting and serves as a noncommissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) of instrument processing and infection control at an Air Force clinic.
- Fiona Galvez, of Hillsboro, Oregon, is a full-time dental assisting student at Portland Community College.
- McKenzie Johnson, of Phoenix, Arizona, is a dental assisting student at the Western Maricopa Education Center.
- Laquisha Key, of Grapevine, Texas, is a student in the Registered Dental Assistant program at Tarrant County College’s Northeast Campus.
- Megan Vaux, of Boulder, Colorado, has nearly 10 years of experience in dental assisting and recently transitioned to a surgical assisting position at a mid-sized practice.
