Happy New Year 2025 to all ADAA members!

Wishing everyone a year filled with new beginnings, bright smiles, and a renewed sense of being valued as an integral member of the dental team. As we step into this exciting new year, ADAA remains committed to supporting each of you as indispensable dental assistants and valued members of our community.

One of our major goals for 2025 is to strengthen communication and rebuild connections with our members, professional organizations, and dental industry partners.

In late November, we sent an update to all state presidents, which I hope has been shared widely. If you haven’t received it, please don’t hesitate to email me at vantroba@verizon.net, and I will ensure you get the information. Look out for another update coming your way very soon!

The ADAA Board convened on January 8, 2025, engaging in dynamic discussions on several critical topics affecting our profession. This proactive and dedicated Board is tackling issues that include:

  • Raising awareness of the immense value that skilled dental assistants bring to the dental team. We are advocating for you at every opportunity.
  • Collaborating with dental industry experts to find solutions for increasing and retaining dental assistants in the field.
  • Advocating for the establishment of a national standard for dental assistants.
  • Exploring avenues to increase ADAA’s non-dues revenue to better serve our members.
  • Developing and providing educational opportunities that address current and emerging needs.

We believe 2025 will be a transformative year for dental assistants and for ADAA as we continue creating meaningful progress and opportunities for our members.

With that, I’m thrilled to announce that preparations are underway for this year’s Dental Assistants Recognition Week (DARW). Stay tuned for more details, but for now, here’s a sneak peek at our brand-new DARW logo—hot off the press! We hope it inspires excitement and pride as we celebrate YOU—the indispensable dental assistant.

As always, I invite you to join in our enthusiasm by connecting with any of our esteemed Board members: Leadership – ADAA and sharing your experiences as a valued member of the dental team. Each one of you makes a positive difference in dentistry every single day, and we’re honored to support and celebrate you.

Warmest regards,
