Celebrating ADAA 2024 Student Achievement Award Winner: Olivia Salyers

ADAA Student Achievement Award: Presented to a student who has demonstrated leadership ability through activities related to dentistry, including participation in class activities, student organizations, and local/state dental assisting organizations where available. The recipient will receive an award and will be announced in ADAA publications.

Eligibility: Open to all student members currently enrolled in a dental assisting program. Only one winner will be selected.

We are excited to announce Olivia Salyers from Big Sandy Community and Technical College as the recipient of the Student Achievement Award. Olivia’s dedication and hard work have truly set her apart, and we are proud to celebrate her outstanding accomplishments.

“I am incredibly honored to have received both the ADAA Merit Scholar Award and the Student Achievement Award. These awards just serve to highlight how hard I’ve worked to achieve where I am at 19 years old! I would like to express my gratitude to my professors at Big Sandy Community and Technical College for all of their knowledge and guidance. In addition, I would like to thank my family for their unwavering support during my educational journey.

I am currently employed at Marshall Dentistry and Oral Surgery as a Certified Dental Assistant! However, I intend to resume my dental studies in August! Being the recipient of both this year’s awards is such a blessing! Throughout my career, I will continue to always exhibit leadership, integrity, organization, and cooperation.”

Congratulations, Olivia, on your exceptional achievements and bright future in the dental field.
