Dear ADAA Members,
As October unfolds and the year begins to wind down, I want to take a moment to reflect on how far we’ve come as an organization and to look forward to a truly exciting milestone. Next month, on November 9, 2024, in Dallas, Texas, we will celebrate ADAA’s 100th Anniversary. This is a momentous occasion for our association, marking a century of commitment to excellence, education, and the advancement of dental assistants everywhere. It’s hard to believe that ADAA has been at the forefront of this profession for 100 years, and I sincerely hope to see you all there to celebrate this incredible achievement together.
The 100th Anniversary Celebration will be more than just an event – it will be a reunion of our wonderful community, an opportunity to reflect on our journey, and an exciting look into the future of dental assisting. I can’t wait to connect with all of you, share stories, and toast to the next 100 years of ADAA’s success.
While we’re gearing up for this grand celebration, I’d like to take a moment to recognize the hard work that’s been happening behind the scenes. This year has seen some amazing initiatives, especially led by our Membership Committee, who have truly gone above and beyond. One of our biggest recent successes has been the launch of ADAA Career Week, a brand-new initiative aimed at providing dental assistants with resources, advice, and opportunities to explore alternative career paths. This initiative was complemented by the ADAA Connection Zone Discussion Forum, which has created a space for members to engage in meaningful discussions about relevant topics in the dental assisting community.
The passion and dedication of our Membership Committee have been the driving force behind these efforts, and I’d like to extend my deepest gratitude to each and every one of them.
Their efforts ensure that ADAA continues to grow, engage, and support its members in new and innovative ways.
As we look toward the rest of the year, please don’t forget to check out the Upcoming Events section on the ADAA website. We have some fantastic webinars lined up that are designed specifically for the dental assistant community. Whether you’re looking to expand your knowledge, brush up on skills, or simply connect with your peers, these webinars are a great way to stay involved and informed. There’s always something new to learn, and we are proud to offer these educational opportunities to you.
Lastly, with Halloween just around the corner, I hope you take some time to enjoy the festive season. Whether it’s spending time with family, dressing up, or indulging in some sweet treats, I hope this season brings a bit of fun and joy into your lives.
Thank you again for your continued dedication to ADAA and the dental assisting profession. I look forward to seeing many of you in Dallas for what will surely be an unforgettable celebration.
Warm regards,
Lisa Hernandez, MEd, CDA, RDA, FAAA
