ADAA December 2024 President Letter

More Appreciation and Recognition Are Needed for Dental Assistants in December!

Dear ADAA Members,

As December unfolds and 2024 draws to a close, our dental offices are bustling with activity. Patients are eager to utilize their insurance benefits before the year ends, making this a particularly busy time for all of us. Amidst this rush, our Dental Assistants play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations. They prepare, treat, and complete dental procedures while also helping patients maximize their insurance benefits.

Every Dental Assistant is working tirelessly, often sacrificing their lunch hours or extending their workdays to meet these demands, all while preparing for the festive season. Dental Assisting educators and students are equally dedicated, striving to complete fall semester projects, finals, and coursework.

It’s crucial that we recognize and appreciate the dedication and service provided by Dental Assistants. As an ADAA member, I want to publicly commend each of you for your exceptional service. A simple way to make Dental Assistants feel valued is to express our gratitude. Start with, “If it wasn’t for you…” and then share specifically how and why you rely on them. Try it today, and you’ll witness the powerful impact of feeling valued and appreciated—it’s contagious!

As members of the ADAA, we are united in strengthening our profession. Our membership signifies our commitment to the profession and our support for collective efforts to protect it. I encourage you to renew your membership at this link: Renew Membership – ADAA, and to spread the word about our organization. If each of us could bring in another member—be it a student, a colleague, or a friend—the impact on our organization would be immense!

This holiday season, give the gift of growth by recommending ADAA membership to your friends and peers. We are offering a special 25% discount on memberships with code ADAA100. Additionally, remember to participate in the ADAA Connection Zones and webinars to connect with the community and foster your own growth.

In closing, I sincerely hope you find time for yourself. Take a moment to pause and reflect, rejuvenate, and cherish the holiday break with your friends, family, and faith. Happy holidays!

Warmest regards,
