Dear ADAA Members, As I reflect on my year as the President of ADAA, I’m amazed at how swiftly time has passed. My tenure will conclude on October 7, 2023, at 12:00 pm CDT during our Annual Session. Serving as your president has been an immense honor, and I’m deeply grateful for the trust you placed in me. The journey has been memorable, and I am optimistic about the future of ADAA under the capable leadership of Lisa Childers Hernandez. I have the utmost confidence in her abilities to guide our association forward. | |
I wish to express my heartfelt thanks to all the volunteers and members who dedicated their time and effort to contribute to the association. Remember, “Volunteers do not necessarily have the time; they just have the heart.” – Elizabeth Andrew. It is the passion and commitment of individuals like you that drive change and make a significant impact. “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world: indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” – Margaret Mead. I encourage each member to remain engaged with ADAA, participate in committees or councils, and actively promote membership. Being involved at both the chapter and national levels has been a pivotal and rewarding aspect of my professional journey, and I hope it will be the same for you. As we approach ADAA’s centennial celebration next year, I am eager to see the association flourish and achieve new milestones. I look forward to continuing my engagement with ADAA and witnessing the remarkable accomplishments that lie ahead. Thank you for the unwavering support during my presidency. I am excited about the future of ADAA and hope to see you all actively participating in celebrating our 100th anniversary. Warm Regards, Mary Beth Sojka, CDA-Emeritus, RDA Outgoing President, ADAA. |
